• Straight from Archos, "Warning: Version 1.1 which was previously posted has been removed because it could cause a 'red screen problem' during update and thus render your AV300 unusable. If you have downloaded version 1.1, do not update your av300 with it. Keep version 1.0.11."
• This "red screen problem" reverse to the Archos failing to boot after you flash in the new firmware. So far there is no fix for this - you have to send your AV300 in to be fixed by Archos.
• I'm leaving this firmware posted, but I suggest you follow Archos' recommendation. I've heard of several people with dead AV300s after flashing in this firmware.

• New features
  • Remote FM control module is now supported
  • Display mode now allows choice for external TV display in Progressive or Interlaced. Improves JPEG display on televisions when set to progressive
  • Video playback now has slow motion modes (with sound muted) 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and normal speed

  • New fast forward/rewind mechanism, will mute and go very fast now.
  • There is now a system folder on the root to store system parameters
  • When playing video, users can now access the "settings" menu while watching a movie
